Short version: the only thing I collect is what you type into the quote form, I use it to call you back about your car, and I don’t sell it to anybody.
What I collect
If you fill in the quote form, I receive the four things it asks for: the vehicle type, its condition, the ZIP code where it’s parked, and your phone number. That is the entire form — there is no email field, no name field, and no address field.
If you call or text instead, I have your phone number the way anybody you call has your phone number, plus whatever you tell me on the call.
My web host keeps standard server logs, which typically record the IP address and browser of anyone who loads a page. That happens automatically for every website and isn’t something I look at.
What I use it for
- Calling or texting you back about the vehicle you asked about.
- Working out a price and arranging a pickup.
- Keeping a record of the sale, which Texas requires of a vehicle purchase.
That’s the whole list. I don’t run a newsletter and I don’t send marketing texts.
What I don’t do with it
- I don’t sell it, rent it, or trade it to anyone.
- I don’t pass it to lead brokers or other buyers. It isn’t a lead — it’s a phone call I’m going to make myself.
- I don’t use it to advertise to you elsewhere.
Who else touches it
The form submission is delivered by email and stored on the same web host that serves this site, so the host handles it in transit and at rest the way a host handles any data. Nobody else receives it.
The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google’s servers see the IP address of anyone who loads a page here. That’s the only third party involved in showing you this website.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising pixels, or session recording. Nothing follows you off this website.
If that changes — for example if advertising is added later — this page gets updated before it does, and the date at the bottom will move.
How long it’s kept
Quote enquiries that don’t turn into a sale are kept only as long as it’s useful to call you back — a few months at most. Records tied to a vehicle I actually bought are kept as long as Texas requires for a vehicle purchase.
Your choices
- Ask me to delete your enquiry and I’ll delete it. Call or text (936) 331‑2391.
- Ask me what I hold about you and I’ll tell you.
- Ask me to stop contacting you and I’ll stop.
Texas residents have rights over their personal data under state law, including the right to know what is held and to ask for it to be deleted. The line above is how you use them — there’s no form to fill in.
Children
This site isn’t aimed at children and I don’t knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. Selling a vehicle requires being the registered adult owner anyway.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version goes here with a new date. There’s no mailing list to notify.
Contact
Questions about any of this go to the same place as everything else: (936) 331‑2391, seven days a week, 7am to midnight. I Buy Junk Cars is family‑owned and registered in Walker County, Texas.
